Samsung Ready to Unveil World’s Thinnest 3D Blu-ray Player
Despite the fact that Samsung may be ready to show off the brand new, world’s thinnest 3D Blu-ray player, we’ll have to wait a bit longer before we get an official announcement from the company, plus our own eyes-on with the device. Samsung has made it known that they plan on showing off the new 3D Blu-ray player at CES 2011, at the beginning of January.
Apple’s iPhone 4 Lives Up to All Expectations
The Apple iPhone 4 ($199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB version, with a two-year contract from AT&T) is everything that a new piece of technology should be: It’s innovative, attractive, and ahead of its competition. In comparison, previous iPhone upgrades seem inconsequential–that’s how much iPhone 4 brings to the table. But two serious design flaws keep it from being perfect. Before there were fixes, we were hesistant to recommend the phone and therefore removed its rating. Now that both of these issues have been addressed and fixed, we have reinstated a rating for the iPhone 4 and put it back on our Top 10 Phones chart.

When the Google Nexus S was announced, some Nexus One owners were already beginning to feel a little envy. Why? Aside from gadgets getting stale a little after a year, it was big news that the follow up to the Google phone would be the first with the next iteration of Android – Gingerbread. Android 2.3, as it’s otherwise known, promised a little more polish and showed a dramatic improvement in speed. Truphone is going beyond mobile by launching a desktop application that brings the same benefits the company’s mobile users can already enjoy to a computer near you. In other words, using the Truphone application on your computer you can save on phone calls as well as chat with your buddies across instant messaging networks.
Apple ditching iPhone embedded SIM plans?

Well, it looks like Apple has nixed its plans to build the next iPhone with embedded SIM cards after the carriers cried out, “Bloody murder,” according to reports.
As you may know, Apple was reportedly working with Gemalto for the next generation iPhone to have integrated SIM cards which could be flashed to work on different carriers. The upshot of this for Apple is that it could take control of the retail experience with many of its own retail stores.

Vodafone New Zealand sells the HTC 7 Trophy, while Australia’s Telstra got the HTC 7 Mozart. The importance of the news comes from the fact that Australia and New Zealand were the first places in the world to start selling Windows Phone 7 devices.
