MeeGo fans in Australia will be able to try out the Nokia N9 at some point in October.The Finnish giant has struck a deal with all big operators in the country — including Optus, Telstra and Vodafone — as well as major retailers.

At IFA 2011 in Berlin, Nokia’s booth featured all the company’s latest handsets, specifically the recently announced 701, 700, and 600. On one of the 700 models at the show, a video was being looped that showed a Nokia handset we’ve never seen before.

As we expected, Nokia just announced Symbian Belle, the successor to Symbian Anna, which as of right now is a whopping 5 days old and is still in the process of being rolled out to various territories.

David Meyer, writing for ZDNet UK, wrote this on November 09, 2010: “At the Symbian Exchange & Exposition (SEE2010) in Amsterdam, the handset manufacturer — which said on Monday that it was bringing development of Symbian back in-house — said the first updates would include the addition of split-screen text entry, a QWERTY keyboard that works when the phone is in portrait mode, integrated Swype input and a new browser.”
