Built for Superior Structural Integrity
Aircraft-quality, tempered aluminum racks provide unmatched structural integrity. MobiRack outer shells and lids are fabricated with “roto-molded” rugged plastic and feature molded in stacking ribs for secure stacking during transport. MobiRack exceeds Air Transport Association (ATA), Spec 200, Category 1 requirements.
Enclosures have reinforced corners and edges with up to 20% more material to protect high stress areas. The enclosures allow all fasteners to be fully recessed to protect them from external impact damage. Positive anti-sheer locks prevent case lids from separating even after impact.
Best in Class Environmental Protection
MobiRack provides advanced environmental wind, splash and rain protection via molded, tongue-and-groove gasket seals and offer airtight/watertight protection gauges as options. High grade shocks offer protection for equipment up to 340 lbs.
Configuration Flexibility
MobiRack enclosures are available in 5U, 11U, 14U and 16U configurations. The enclosures offer an impressively rich array of options from visual choices (colors, labels, custom stenciling) to functional (removable rack, choice of handles, trays, drawers, shelves, shocks, storage pouches, coupling catches, support rails, etc.) to environmental controls like airtight/watertight or humidity indicator gauges. When you combine all of this with SGI’s custom-built Intel and AMD-based half depth servers, storage systems, power distribution infrastructure (including power distribution units (PDUs), batteries and rectifiers) and SGI’s build-to-order business model, one can clearly see the maximized configuration flexibility that is available from SGI. Vodafone Quarterly Mobile Data Revenue Grows by 25 Percent

Vodafone reported third-quarter service revenue up 2.5 percent year on year, but its mobile data revenue rose much faster, up 25.3 percent. At 11.7 percent of group service revenue, mobile data is now on the point of overtaking Vodafone’s cash-cow text-messaging business.
Apple Wins North Carolina Tax Break For $1 Billion Data Center

A North Carolina county and town have agreed to give Apple Inc. (AAPL) tax incentives worth $46 million over the next decade if the consumer tech giant builds a data center in the area.
Brocade Delivers High-Performance, Cost-Effective Data Center Server Connectivity And Consolidation Solutions For HP Server And Storage Platforms

Brocade recently announced that the Brocade 4 and 8 Gbps Fibre Channel (FC) host bus adapters (HBAs) have been successfully tested on the HP ProLiant server platform, and the HP StorageWorks Modular Storage Array (MSA) and Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) disk storage platforms. The new Brocade 8000 Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) switch, which enables the consolidation of storage and IP networking ports at the server edge, will also be offered by HP to its customers. The Brocade 8000 connects to HP servers to help meet the performance and cost requirements of next-generation data centers.
