AKTEL offers IDD FnF
AKTEL, the third largest mobile operator in the county, has recently introduced “IDD Friends and Family (FnF)”, a new offer for its customers to enjoy discount on international direct dialling (IDD) tariffs, says a press statement. Under the offer, AKTEL customers (except Uddokta and Easy Load) can add one IDD mobile number as FnF from Malaysia (Celcom), India (Idea), Singapore (m1), Indonesia (XL), Sri Lanka (Dialog) and Cambodia (hello) to enjoy discounted tariff. Warid offers free prepaid connection with Tk 299 talk-time
Warid Telecom offers a free Zem prepaid connection with a Tk 299 talk-time at a cost of Tk 299. Actually subscribers are getting the SIM free of cost as connection price and the amount of free talk-time are same. Under the offer, a subscriber can buy the Zem connection preloaded with Tk 50, which can be used for every types of usage. The rest of the Tk 249 will be loaded after the first recharge with any denominations. The talk-time can be used for all purposes except off-net calls, ISD, EISD calls and International SMS. Banglalink revenue up by 50pc
Revenue of Banglalink, the second largest mobile operator in the country, increased by about 50 per cent to US$28.8 million in 2008. “We have achieved this growth by … launching innovative products,” said Naguib Sawiris, chairman and chief executive officer of Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH), parent company of Banglalink. The revenue growth was driven by the increase in subscriber base, improved network quality, and usage enhancement initiatives, according to the performance report published by OTH. Read more
Grameenphone reduces tariff
Grameenphone Ltd, one of the country’s leading mobile phone operator companies has reduced its tariff to 49 paisa per minute during day time, effective 22 March 2009. The day-time tariff is offered from 12 pm to 4 pm. All Grameenphone subscribers can now enjoy this lowest tariff to call any Grameenphone subscriber. The 49 paisa per minute day-time tariff was initially offered as a promotion through February and March this year and now it has been converted into a permanent offer. Read more
