Sony Ericsson X2 to be announced next week?

Now, normally, I wouldn’t do a blog post about a rumour that there’ll be a phone announced at some point in the near future, because if the rumour turns out to be wrong, it makes me look like a tool. But, when it’s the phone I personally want to be my handset, common sense tends to go out the window, so…

According to the SEMC Blog, there’s going to be a product announcement next week. Apparently, that’s officially confirmed, and it will be happening. But what’s not been confirmed yet is what phone it will be, although the rumour is now saying it’ll be the forthcoming Sony Ericsson X2.

I’ve been in this position in the past, though, so I’m not saying it will actually, definitively happen until it has actually, definitively happened. If it does, though, I will be a happy bunny, since the Sony Ericsson X2, as you’ve probably realised by now, has got me all excited, what with its WinMo 6.5 OS, new version of the panels interface, new, nicer keyboard, and a whopping great 8MP camera.

So, I’m not getting my hopes up, yet. But please let this rumour be true…
