Two Taiwan Companies announced Android-smartphones

Computer devices producer Acer and telecom company Far EasTone Telecommunications Co situated in Taiwan announced their plans about releasing their own smartphones created on the base of open operational system Google Android smartphone. Acer is going to release not just smartphones but also Android netbooks, and Far EasTone already announced the dates of its first device appearance – the third quarter of the year.

Far EasTone Telecommunications Co management is going to use the resources of one of Taiwan producers for mobile phone release, but its name was not mentioned. The strongest producer on the market is the HTC Company which developed the first in the world Android-smartphone G1. Among other possible operator partners are mentioned Asustek Computer, Quanta Computer, Compal Communications, Inventec Appliances, Wistron NeWen and BenQ.
The Taiwan Company announced that its smartphones will differ by functions and will function on the new version of Android -1.5 operational system. Far EasTone negotiates already with some other developers of programming software for their inclusion in the device.
Acer does not mention the exact date of its Android smartphone appearance. According to the Company president Gianfranco Lanci in future we should expect from Acer a Netbook functioning under the open operational system.
