Motorola’s official announcement of the Motorola QA4 Evoke touchscreen slider may not have generated the hype (positive, or negative) that Motorola (NYSE: MOT) was hoping for, but there’s more to the Evoke than meets the eye. The Motorola QA4 Evoke may just represent the shift in design philosophy that Motorola needs to make a comeback. And make no mistake, Motorola needs a comeback. The Motorola QA4 Evoke sports some fairly decent features. It’s no smartphone, but with its iPhone-like widgets, a touchscreen display and full-HTML browser, the Evoke is certainly a refreshing change of direction from Motorola’s handset designers. Sprint (NYSE: S)’s product roadmap has already confirmed the Novatel MiFi launching on Sprint’s CDMA network by June of this year, and now it looks like Verizon (NYSE: VZ) is getting in on the 3G WiFi router party with their very own branded Novatel MiFi! Samsung’s details are a bit sketchy – the i7410 comes with a 3.2″ 240 x 400 pixel touchscreen and a 5 megapixel camera, it measures 112 x 57 x 17mm, but we don’t know what operating system it runs, although as an “i” series phone the i7410 should definitely be a smartphone. This is a 3G device with video calling, but there is no mention of WiFi support. We just have a single photograph of the i7410 to go on at the moment. Manipulating the press photo shows the front facing camera, a call and end button and a circular control pad. Read more
